On Tuesday 1st December, the second UK Wedding Venues Marketing Conference takes place at the five-star Lowry Hotel in Manchester. Wedding Venues from across Britain are invited to send one or two delegates to the Conference, which is supported by the HMA, to access the latest ideas on marketing wedding venues from 10 top speakers from the industry.
Organised by the team behind the annual National Hotel Marketing Conference, the conference builds on the first-ever one, which was held last November at York Racecourse. The UK Wedding Venues Marketing Conference is for anyone who has responsibility for marketing or promoting their wedding venue, and will bring together over 100 Marketing/Sales Managers and Wedding Co-ordinators of leading hotels, attractions and other wedding venues across the UK. All will have the opportunity to learn how to best promote and market their venues from expert speakers and practitioners across Britain.
This year’s speakers include Chrissie Milton, Business Development Manager for RHS Wisley in Surrey, Ciara Crossan, CEO and Founder of Wedding Dates in Ireland, Alexandra Botting, Head of Marketing for Amazing Venues, leading Wedding Planner and Consultant Isabel Smith, and former Superintendent Registrar Robert Livesey, who has married more than 10,000 couples during his career.
According to the conference’s organiser, Martin Evans, “Unlike the conference market, the weddings market survived the recession well, and with the law relating to gay weddings also changing last year, the health of the weddings market is remarkably good. Civil ceremonies in Approved Venues account for 60% of all marriages, and this figure keeps rising, so it’s even more important than ever that venue managers have all the tools at their disposal to maximise sales in this vital market”.
Venues have already registered for the conference from as far afield as Scotland and the Channel Isalnds, and include independent hotels, hotel groups, visitor attractions, museums, stately homes, universities, spa’s, football stadia and racecourses.
Anyone wanting to book for the UK Wedding Venues Marketing Conference can book online at www.weddingsmarketing.org, or by email to conference@thetourismbusiness.com, or telephone the conference office on 01904 438100.
