It’s no longer enough to offer a comfy bed and a great breakfast.In this era of iPhones and abundance, travel is changing fast.Everywhere you turn, hoteliers and hospitality brands are touting the experiences they offer. But when everyone talks about experiences, how can you make sure yours are different?
In this new world, in today and tomorrow’s Experience Economy, where consumers are becoming less materialistic and becoming “experientialist”, how can you stand out from the crowd?
James Wallman, who coined the term “experientialism” and forecast the rise of the Experience Economy in his best-selling book Stuffocation (Penguin, 2015), will share some of the most compelling ways today’s firms are creating standout experiences. And he’ll share some ideas from his next book (to be published by Penguin Random House’s Virgin Books in 2019), about how you can create better experiences tomorrow.
The talk will contain a brief history of the Experience Economy and a forecast about where it’s headed.
After James’ keynote, he will lead a panel discussion of hoteliers discussing how they see the future of hotels in the UK and further afield, from marketing to service and everything in between.
The event will be free for HMA and HOSPA members and £20+Vat for non-members. It will take place on 7th February from 6pm in Central London.
