It was great to meet so many hospitality marketers at the National Hotel Marketing Conference. Here are some sound bites from a great event.
“You will never see a sign in the window of Cartier’s saying 60% off” – Peter Hancock Chief Executive of Pride of Britain Hotels talking about how many luxury hotels are being sold as cheap through third party Internet sites.
“Facebook has become Fade book”, Paul Charles, Chief Executive of Perowne Charles Communications describing what he called the declining use of Facebook.
“84% of people surveyed by Travelzoo placed a value on having a full English breakfast above other services, when staying in a hotel,” Joel Brandon-Bravo, Managing Director Travelzoo Europe.
“A recent survey of the Spa & Beauty market showed that men spent on average 81 minutes on their daily grooming as opposed to women spending just 75 minutes!” Sharon Scott, Managing Director of Commotion Communications.
“You should never drink and tweet!” Jeremy Rata, Managing Director, Bovey Castle.
