Announces Award Winners at their Annual Awards

Tuesday, 20th March 2018, London; Hotel Marketing Association announces the winners of the Annual Hotel Marketing Awards, which took place at the W London, Leicester Square. 

Both Hoteliers and Hospitality agencies entered the 23rd Annual Hotel Marketing Association Awards, to win one of the six highly coveted accolades ranging from ‘Best Fully Integrated Marketing Campaign’ to the fiercely contested ‘Young Marketer of the Year’ award which celebrates the rising stars within the Hospitality industry.

Rudding Park, won the Best Fully Integrated Marketing Campaign award, sponsored by Hoteltime, for the launch of their new Spa. The judges commended Rudding Park on their “impressive submission” and went on to say “the use of multiple channels made this a truly integrated campaign in a very strong category.”

Wildsmith Hotels and their agency Fat Media, won the closely fought Best Website & SEO Marketing award, sponsored by Avvio. The judges praised them on their “consistent approach to branding throughout” and how they had “capitalised on their location” and that their “booking process was easy to use”.  They went on to say that they “appreciated their approach to organic SEO and not just putting money behind PPC. “

PPHE Hotel Group, Park Plaza Hotels and Resorts’, ‘London Revealed’ campaign, won the Best Use of Social Media in Marketing award, sponsored by National Hotel Marketing Conference. The judges said “this campaign looked outside the Hotel’s own brand by creating a ‘London Revealed’ brand” and “managed to create a credible hub of London content.” They particularly liked their “approach to integrating multiple social platforms, media platforms and commercial partners such as Merlin.”

Hiton Worldwide’s, ‘Waldorf Astoria at the Goodwood Festival of Speed’ campaign, won the Best Partnership Marketing Campaign award, sponsored by IM London. The judges said it was “a truly innovative partnership campaign”, “delivered tangible results” and included “unforgettable experiences.”

LAW Creative’s, Radisson Blu ‘As Committed as You’ campaign, won the Most Creative Activity by an Agency award, sponsored by Revinate. The judges liked the fact that the campaign was based on “effective market research.” They went on to say “it was a very well-conceived and executed campaign” and was “delivered through highly-creative, attention-grabbing, relevant visuals.”

Stephen Moran, Marketing Manager, InterContinental London Park Lane won the coveted Young Marketer of the Year award, sponsored by Cvent. The judges praised the winner saying they were “impressed by the strategic aptitude of Mr Moran” and that “he showed a well-rounded marketing skillset”.  They went on to say “he showed excellent career progression and had taken the initiative to learn other disciplines to support his wider understanding as well as bring clearly passionate about passing on knowledge to others”.

Steve Lowy, Chairman of the Hotel Marketing Association, said “As the annual awards go from strength to strength, we were delighted by the high number of entries received, the breadth of the entries demonstrated just how creative, innovative and engaging hospitality marketing is. The best campaigns were those that were SMART, well thought through, collaborative and engaged with their targeted audiences,” he explained.
